Our Hereon team at the Sachsenwaldlauf

In September, the time had come: our Hereon team took part in the 2025 Sachsenwaldlauf race! Motivated colleagues from various departments joined in, representing team spirit, exercise and fun in shared sport. We celebrated this day together – as a team, with exercise, socialising and good spirits!
Successful teamwork

With diversity management, we provide targeted impulses to use diversity at Hereon as a strength. In an international research centre, the intercultural skills of employees are a decisive factor for success. Those who understand cultural differences and use them constructively create a working atmosphere characterised by respect, openness and innovation. With our seminar ‘Intercultural Competences’, we aim to promote teamwork and strengthen inclusive cooperation.

With us you work in a green environment

Hereon has its headquarters in Geesthacht, around 20 kilometres from the gates of Hamburg, surrounded by greenery and beautifully situated on the banks of the River Elbe. And how do you get to us?
By bike, by car (finding a parking space is not an issue here) and by public transport: The HVV buses run every hour in 30 minutes, e.g. from Bergedorf central bus station directly to our campus.
